About the role
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a regional group of 15 member countries established in 1975 to promote economic integration. The Information Technology Officer will support the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) by ensuring efficient functioning of information and communication systems, supporting digitalization of operations, ICT projects, and compliance with ECOWAS ICT policies and international cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities
- Assist in developing OAG's ICT strategy aligned with ECOWAS digital transformation objectives.
- Recommend ICT policies, standards, and procedures.
- Prepare annual ICT work plans and budgets.
- Provide technical advice on ICT investments and emerging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with ECOWAS ICT governance frameworks.

- Assist in implementing data analytics solutions for audit activities.
- Prepare ICT technical specifications.
- Participate in procurement evaluation processes.
- Maintain ICT risk registers.
- Support internal and external ICT audits.
- Implement recommendations arising from audit reports.
- Prepare periodic ICT performance reports.
- Develop ICT performance indicators and dashboards.
