About the role
Malaria Consortium Nigeria works in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other partners to tackle malaria cases and deaths in Nigeria, leading and supporting major malaria control initiatives including SuNMaP, NetWorks and MAPS. The Data Analyst will support data analysis across the Malaria Consortium Nigeria portfolio, developing and supporting primary and secondary analyses of programme, project, research and study results under the direction of the Country MEL Manager.

Responsibilities
- Support statistical analysis (qualitative and quantitative) of project data across the country portfolio and contribute to reports for dissemination among partners.
- Explore research and evaluation questions using available programme data through secondary and meta-analyses under agreed analysis plans.
- Support inception, tools development, tools deployment (KoboToolbox/SurveyCTO), data cleaning, validation, and quality control of survey and routine datasets using statistical software (Nvivo, Stata, R), maintaining well-documented reproducible analysis scripts.
- Support development, maintenance, and automation of portfolio-level dashboards and indicator tracking systems (Power BI, DHIS2 outputs).
- Support study design including methodology, sample size calculations, database development and statistical analysis, and contribute to reports.
- Participate in development of tools and procedures in surveys, rapid assessments, routine data collection and surveillance.
- Support all data analysis requirements of SMC including in-process monitoring, LQAS, coverage survey, OR data, HMIS data and other SMC-related data.
- Participate in building capacity in data management, statistics and data analysis for staff.
- Support teams in the conduct of DQAs and data audits.
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and documentation of lessons learnt including learning briefs, papers and conference abstracts.
