About the role
Odixcity Consulting is seeking a Software QA Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through rigorous testing and continuous improvement. You will work closely with developers to validate new features, identify edge cases, and ensure the integrity of data.
This is a full-time remote position based in Nigeria, offering NGN 250,000 - 400,000 monthly.

Responsibilities
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for all new features.
- Perform end-to-end manual testing to ensure features meet business requirements and design specifications.
- Measure and analyze QA data points like defect density and outstanding defect totals.
- Validate backend data states using MongoDB.
- Write and execute queries to ensure data is correctly stored, updated, and retrieved across the platform.
- Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure that new code deployments do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Verify the communication between frontend and backend services using tools like Postman to test API endpoints.
- Conduct basic performance testing to ensure the application remains stable and responsive under varying traffic levels.
- Document and prioritize defects with clear steps to reproduce, environment details, and logs. Collaborate with the development team to verify fixes.
