About the role
We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our remote engineering team. You’ll work closely with our founders to build and scale BuzzMap’s mobile, backend, data, and AI-powered systems while helping shape the technical direction of our growing platform.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain consumer-facing product experiences.
- Develop and ship new features from concept to production.
- Work closely with our product, growth, and design teams.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Contribute to both mobile and web development.
- Design and build scalable APIs and backend services.
- Maintain and improve our platform architecture and infrastructure.
- Build integrations with external data providers and APIs.
- Develop internal tools and operational systems.
- Improve monitoring, reliability, and system performance.
- Build personalized recommendations, AI-powered search and discovery, venue and event ranking systems, user preference modeling, recommendation engines, context-aware suggestions, and AI-assisted content generation workflows.
- Build event and venue data ingestion pipelines.
- Design scalable data models.
- Implement user activity tracking.
- Support analytics, reporting, experimentation, and growth measurement.
- Build systems that can support future machine-learning initiatives.
- Contribute to our technical architecture and engineering standards.
- Participate in technical planning and prioritization.
- Identify and solve scalability and performance bottlenecks.
- Contribute to engineering best practices.
- Help mentor future engineering hires as our team grows.
