About the role
PayZeep is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain its CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable platform delivery. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure that supports PayZeep's digital financial products and services.
This is a full-time position based in Lagos, Nigeria, requiring 5–8 years of relevant experience, with fintech or financial services infrastructure experience preferred. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, and cloud certification (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (provisioning, scaling, cost optimization).
- Implement monitoring, alerting and logging for platform reliability.
- Support incident response and on-call rotation for production systems.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Security on secure deployment practices.
- Support application deployment activities and ensure seamless release management across development, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to improve development and operational workflows.
- Ensure system availability, performance, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness of production environments.
- Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives and infrastructure performance improvements.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews for critical platform issues.
- Enforce security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Automate operational processes and repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures.
